We begin the search process by meeting with the client to gain a thorough and accurate understanding of their perspective of the industry and their organization. During the initial meeting, we create a detailed analysis of the requirements of the position, the corporate environment, and the culture. We learn as much as we can about the role, the reporting structure, style of the various leaders, and what type of individual would best fit the team.
After assessing targeted industry leaders with our client, we search through our internal candidate database of 9,000 contacts to investigate ideal matches. We draw on our extensive business network for qualified leads. Simultaneously, we work with a team of professional researchers to identify the top talent in the marketplace and contact between 50 and 150 potential candidates. The potential candidates are then reviewed with our client. When necessary, our process is complemented with an on-line advertising campaign.
All interested candidates go through a pre-screening process. Once the position profile requirements are met, an in-depth, face-to-face interview takes place with an E.L.Shore & Associates professional. Our recommendation of a short list of candidates, with individual profiles, is presented to the client for their feedback. Once a potential match is determined by both client and candidate, E.L.Shore & Associates conducts thorough references to verify the individual’s skill set and record of success. Often references can be verified with E.L.Shore & Associates’ contacts who provide behind-the-scenes, real information. All references are reviewed with the client prior to an offer being made.
During the crucial courting stage, we are trusted advisors. We remain focused, coordinate and manage all meetings, and provide perceptive feedback and insight between client
and candidate. By the time we are at the offer stage, we have acquired a thorough understanding of the needs of both client and candidate and are ideally positioned to assist with negotiations to ensure acceptance of the offer.
